Southeast Kansas Educational Service Center (SEKESC)

Biography: Director of the Technology/Media Center. The SEKESC currently serves approximately 90 school districts in the area of Educational Technology. Programs offered to schools include access to a 10,000 video tape, laser disc, compact disc and computer software library, group purchasing of computer hardware and software, audio visual repair department and other services. Denise provides technology-related classes on-site at school districts.

Kansas State University College of Education

Biography: Currently Instructor, Secondary Education, Past Department chair of Social Studies, Kansas Council for Social Studies, Advisory Council Board, (past president), Riley County Museum Board of Trustees, Staff Development Coordinator for MHS, Leadership Cadre #383, Kansas Master Teacher 1993, 1993 Milken National Award, History Channel Master Teacher 1995, Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation Teacher Leadership Program (PORCH), State Social Studies Advisory Board, 1995 Kansas Technology Teacher of the Year (Microsoft), 1996 advisor for National History Day winner from MHS, Library of Congress American Memory Grant recipient (with Jim Bogart), and she has most recently consulted with educators in Estonia.

Olathe School for the Deaf

Biography: Science Department chairperson K-12 program. She was the 1995 Kansas Teacher of the Year and a 1995 Milken National Educator. She has secured more $130,000 in grant money for the science classes of the school, mostly for technology. She coordinates the Environmental Education Laboratory.

Technology Education Consultant

Biography: Computer Education Specialist from 1984-1990. He has a Ph.D. from KSU and has a Masters in Library Science. He was a library y media specialist at Topeka West High School and Waverly, Kansas. He has been President of the Mid-America Computers in Education group (MACE), the Kansas Association for Educational Communications and Technology (KAECT), and Phi Delta Kappa-Topeka Chapter. He has been a member of The Kansas Technology Association and has been active at the state and national levels in various capacities with technology. He has also written for national journals.

Technology Staff Development Specialist

Greg is currently Technology Director, Wichita Public Schools. Before this he served a dual role with the Kansas State Department of Education as Technology Staff Development Specialst, and assisted school districts with their technology initiatives and helping to develop a technology training program for the KSDE staff in Topeka. Prior to working at the KSDE he was a principal in the Smoky Valley School District, Lindsborg.

K-6 Technology Integration Coordinator

Concordia Middle School

Biography: She has been a teacher and is now K-6 Computer-Education facilitator in Concordia. She is currently working on a doctorate at Kansas State University.

Executive Director, TEEN--5 school interactive television network)

Herington, Kansas

Biography: Former elementary teacher. KSU masters and doctorate in school administration. Currently Executive Director of TEEN which provides a data network (internet and cd roms) to 5 schools and several community centers.

Director of Technology, Burlington, Kansas

Biography: He has presented at several state, regional and national conferences on topics relating to educational technology and has published in journals in this field. He is President-Elect of MACE. He is the managing partner of MacSports, Inc., a software development company for high school and collegiate athletics. He is the owner of Integrated Technology Consultants, a technology integration firm that specializes in small business, financial, legal and educational information systems.

Assistant Superintendent, McPherson Public Schools

Biography: He is currently on the State Technology Data Collection Committee, is a Board Member of the Edison Project Schools, and has secured over $450,000 in grants for technology advancement for McPherson schools in the last few years. In 2001 He was selected as Outstanding Alumnae for the College of Education.

Educational Services Specialist, Educational Service Center District of Central Kansas.

Biography: Was Teacher/Technology Director at Soderstrom Elementary for three years. Her current position involves technology/computers to 8th grade students; teacher training; trouble-shooting, and network management. She has had twelve years of teaching experience at various levels ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade. She has a Web site, Tammy Technology Tips for Teachers. She has also developed Teacher Timesavers Volumes 1 and 2, Research Assistant, and other software.
